I'm thinking about getting this, although I don't know much about this type of equipment so I was wondering if you guys think this looks good, I'm not sure what some of the specs mean so I don't know if these numbers are good or bad, what do you think?

First off, The Firepod audio interface is an old unit, the FP10 and Firestudio are the new ones out now. Also go though zzounds or musiciansfriend, newegg will tend to charge more IMO and they generally dont deal with audio gear...which is quite clear since they put the word "network" in the title for that interface.........

Secondly, are you sure you need this interface?
What are you planning on recording?
What is your total budget?
planning a home studio?
Have any cables and mics?

Usually you will need this interface if recording a fully miced drum set.

BTW ill have this moved to R&R
look over Tweaks guide in my sig

go look on ebay for a firepod. I got mine there for like $330. I love it.

How many simultaneous inputs will you need?
What software are you using?

Give us some more info and maybe we can find the best fit for you.
