Hey guys. I have a really old fuzz/wah pedal that I'd love to fool around with, but the knobs/switches are crackly and make it cut out. What can I do to clean them out? I'm assuming I could spray some contact cleaner in there, but I haven't had any luck finding any. Is there anything else I can use? Maybe a household product...I don't know, lemon extract or something?

Thanks for your help. It's a super old Royale (or Royal? Don't remember) fuzz/wah the was my dad's and I'd love to try it out but don't want to damage it at all. Thinking it could make a rather unique sound.

Contact cleaner. Try your local electrical store (Maplins in UK, Mouser or similar in USA?? Not too sure as am in UK myself!)
Keep looking for it as it is THE stuff to use.

Stewart McDonald sells a nice contact cleaner for pots called De-Oxit.
