Well, I'm new to slapping and well, I've been doing it pretty agressively. My right hand index finger has a huge callus from the popping action, but the finger itself starting turning very red(as if it was bleeding), I think i may have popped a blood vessel or something. I don't feel any pain or anything. Is there anything I should worry about/should I stop playing? thanks in advance

so there's nothing wrong with continuing? I just didn't want to create a problem that could keep me from playing my instruments...

... seriously guys, I'm no noob, I realize that calluses are common, that's not what my question is about, it's about the fact that my finger looks like it's bleeding, I've never had a problem like this with any other instrument....

That happened to me when I started slapping+popping, too.

You toughen up to it after a while.
