Today, on Friday May 16, Kevin Robert Swerdfiger, my friend since grade 2, passed away from heart failure. He's had troubles with his health since he was a baby, and it's affected him a lot in life. His growth was stunted, so he was only about 4 and a half feet tall. He didn't have very many friends, but he was a great kid once you got to know him, and a friend I'll remember forever. He had been getting much better until suddenly he needed to be admitted to hospital. He was then taken out of hospital with an oxygen tank, and left to rest. His condition, once again, worsened, and he was once again admitted to hospital with breathing problems. I thankfully managed to get over to his house and hang out with him one last time last weekend, and he didn't look well at all. He was barely able to do anything because his breathing was so weak. He passed today, very peacefully apparently, at the age of only 16 years old.

He was far too young...

Sorry man. I know it's hard, but you were there for him and he left with your caring and love. I know that doesn't bring him back, but you will always have the time you spent with him.

RIP. Much too young.
Had a friend when he was 18, he passed in a hospital. Much the same situation, health problems his whole life (sickle cell anemia), and he took one final visit to the hospital...

Rest assured, where he is now, he doesn't have to bear his health problems any more.

I've been having heart problems lately too, but not quite as bad. I know what it's like to lose a friend to a fatal condition. Sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry for you man, the best people always go soon. I've had a friend who had cystic fibrosis, she was such a great musician and a nice person, but sadly, she died last febuary. I hope it won't be too hard for you to get over it. Again, I'm sorry.

i would say he's climbing the stairway to heaven, but the context of that song isnt fit for what happened, but i guess i can say sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, he died in his prime but from what you said didnt even get to enjoy getting to it, fate is a horrible thing
(thats a horrible pun that my name is f8 is cruel isnt it)
#34
That's terrible. At least he died peacefully and not in pain. I'll put on some Little Wing or something for him.
#35
At least you got to see him before he left.

He is probably healthier in heaven anyway.
