Back before I realized how stupid lacrosse was, I just got better by playing with kids I knew.
Gear:
PRS SE Singlecut, blue with stoptail (my baby)
Line 6 Spider III 75 (shut up)
Epiphone Les Paul standard
Cheapo Yamaha nylon string
even more cheapo Fender steel string acoustic

A goal would help. Condition, pass, catch... get the basics down perfectly.

I play(ed) defense so I mostly just went out and hit people but I had pretty good stick skills for a dman just by making every movement a habit.
I'm a rockstar without the skills, fame, or income.

if you can't find anyone to play with just throw the ball against the wall and catch it

I'd say a rebounder would be better. How much could you really get out of a goal?

Edit: i mean that by the rebounder, you improve your skills of catching passes, bettering your reflexes and improving your throwing a bit, whereas a goal you'll really only get better at scoring, and that wont be by that much as long as you don't have a goalie to help you too.
There's no death, no end of time when I'm facing it with you...

Ive played lax for 4 years and depending on if you want to be an attackman or middie Id get goal if attack and wall if a middie.

But if its like your first year playing Id just get the wall b/c if you can catch/throw you are automatically better than 90% of first year players.
