I’m looking for good tuners to put on my guitar. What would be the best out of:
· Fender Deluxe Schaller Locking Machine Heads
· Sperzel 6-In-Line Trim-Lok Reverse Tuners
· Grover 205C6 6-In-Line Guitar Tuning Keys
Or is there anything better out there? I just need something reliable and stuff; you all know how it is.
Cheers

I bought a set of Grovers for my SG and I love them.
Used plenty of tuners and these are by far the best in my opinion.

I also heart my Grovers.

Locking tuners will be better than the Grovers.

Buy both pickups. Rub icyhot on both of them. Sandwich your penis between them and walk to the nearest homeless shelter with your brand new icyhot penis sandwich.

True enough...but then again, my Grovers are lockers...so maybe that's why I heart them.

Grovers-even nonlocking ones- are really good. But don't use a non-locking tuner on a trem guitar (not a double locking), 'cause you'll run into trouble with tuning.

Any of the "known" name brands of lockers will probably do you just fine, in all honesty. I'd search for a deal. I'd also go Grover or Schaller, and consider thoughtfully if you want to deal with the extra set screw install that Sperzel's require.

Have had sperzels on every guitar for 15 plus years now never have failed. The extra work is worth it.Plus it makes changing strings a fast thing.

I say Grover, I personally hate locking tuners.

PM me about buying the graphic novels I'm trying to sell

The spertzal lockers are a bit expensive. The grover lockers I bought recently were 40 bucks. But which tuner is best is pure opinion. I have gotoh, grover, and spertzel tuners on different guitars. They all do their job very well.

i dunno about that... it makes tuning much quicker, but if you're any good at stringing, the tuning should be ok i'd have thought.

+1, i don't have any complaints with any of them.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

I mean Steve Vai/ Herman Li type stuff on a strat or wilkinson trem. you're REALLY gonna need locking tuners for that.

i disagree that you need them. they won't hurt certainly, but if you're good at restringing it shouldn't make all that much difference.

Not a bad thing to have, regardless. Maybe unnecessary, but not a bad thing to have.
