i prefer my ****ty ibanez grg 170 dx (first guitar)
to my jackson dk2 sometimes, i think its because i got very different guage strings on both.....and i got marshall mg100 (i know ) and think it just is brighter with the ibanez pickups

plus ibanez in drop d and jacky in drop b so the bass and **** mite be **** for low tunings?

help?

or am i completely mental?

i know what you mean i prefer my ibanez gio to my schecter sometimes.

but maybe you should put the same gauge strings on all your guitars.
It helps with playingas your not thrown off after playing on for awhile.

and yeh your probs have to eq differently based on the guitar and pickups

it feels lot more comfortable to play, i think medium frets are faster for me than jumbos, obv the necks lot less chunky than the jacky but jumbo frets were supposed to be faster :/

oh well guess i just kinda discovered what i like in guitars XD

put the same sized strings on both of them, put them in the same tuning, and find the right EQ for each before deciding which one you like better.

jumbo frets are faster lower on the fret board like 12 on, but yeh i to enjoy medium frets!

Still im pretty sure that jackson neck is sex.

I just bought a schecter blackjack ATX instead of a jackson pro Dk2 haha

how are they?

I'm sorry but I can't understand you, could you please rephrase that?

sorry lol reading it back i cant either, i just type **** without thinking

basically: i have a ibanez gio (cheap) and jackson dk2

and i prefer the gio, but i was askin if this is most likely because they are fairly different guitars as it is (neck and fret size)

plus the fact i got insanely heavier guage strings on the jackson

it was more self discovery for me than a question for all of u XD

just felt like typing it

you pretty much have to have guitars in the same guage to compare everything.

I could play pretty muc anything but with standard .10 .46.. well i just wont like it too much.

Except ONE gibson in Hollywood once..that one just felt epic haha

Right now I prefer my Jackson Soloist to my Gibson V.... Only reason is the Pickups on my V are going to hell.

Sometimes I prefer my Schecter to my strat, mostly because the strat is just a little bright sometimes(I still love the tone on it though).

i get moody, i normally hate fenders but i sat down for half an hour with one at guitar center the other day, one of those faded old looking teles, i loved it.

And i can have just as much fun with a cheap guitar. Just remember im sure you're Gio will malfunction or break before the Jackson. My gio's wiring went and i had to rewire the entire thing in a year and 3 months.
