sup dudes...

so im thinkin about gettin a new head for my half stack. right now i got the Marshall MG100HDFX head with a MG412A cab.

It's a very sweet set up...very basic...yet satisfying.

BUT! i want to take it a set up im thinkin maybe a TUBE head...

WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS GET!!!

You wait until you try a tube head.
Your MG would go from 'satisfying' to 'Why did I bother in the first place?'

Of course, knowing me; I'd go for a Randall MTS Rm100/Rm50h.
But that's just me.

If you gave a price range and style of amp we could help much more.

Since you didn't offer either, I'd say go get a MESA/BOOGIE Tripple Rectifier.

For the same reason, I'll suggest a Soldano SLO100 head through a stack of Mesa cabs.

Haha, I don't think his price range is that big .

Oh, and I finally tried out the VK head (savin' up ) today - amazing! I loved the cleans, and it DEFINITELY has enough gain for metal w/o an OD.
