With tension in muscles when trying to play fast is it possible to get rid of that tension and play fast consistently...any sort of remedy
you have to increase your speed gradually to get rid of the tension. get yourself a metronome, play at a speed you could comfortable play at virtually forever. then start turning up your metronome like 10bpm at a time and play for a few minutes and keep doing that and your muscles will gradually build strength.
it'll take practice. you can start by making sure that your shoulder is relaxed when you're playing.
i just loosened up all muscles. then kind of used my wrist and fingers to concentrate on moving the pick faster and faster on just one string, say the A. pretty soon with practic you'll be able to do it all of the time.
thankies .... any websites or exercises i could do to get rid of this tension
