I just bought my first ibanez classical today and I was wondering if the tuning for the nylon strings is different. Kind of a dumb question but I just put it in standard tuning and it sounds kinda ****ty any ideas ?

The Nylon strings will always sound duller, and softer than your regular Steel strings. If you listen to alot of Classical guitars, they sound the same.

Like any guitar the tuning can be changed but standard tuning is still EADGBe. Id say the sound youre hearing is just the natural sound of a classical guitar which is different to the sound of a steel string guitar.

i agree.. i also have a classical guitar and i use a tuner with it.. everytime i get that standard tuning, it would still sound somewhat different.. i think most classical guitars sound good when plucked, not strummed..
