i have a zoom g2.1u and i only bought it about 2 weeks ago, and the expression pedal is really squeeky and loud. What can i do to fix it?
wd 40s not water based- its actually a solvent so it melts away any buildup or rust and lubricates the mechanism

to the best of my knowledge
50%: Stoddard solvent (i.e., mineral spirits -- somewhat similar to kerosene)
25%: Liquefied petroleum gas (presumably as a propellant; carbon dioxide is now used instead to reduce WD-40's considerable flammability)
15+%: Mineral oil (light lubricating oil)
10-%: Inert ingredients

Typical uses of WD-40 around the home include
Stopping squeaks in door hinges.
Loosening rusted or seized components (i.e., nuts and screws) for easier removal
Spraying on hand tools, prior to storage, to help prevent rust
Cleaning objects affected by grease, caked-on dirt or adhesive residue (such as that left behind by sticky tape)
