I have a crappy old JT-300 that I might mod

...only problem is that I have no idea what type of wood it's made from.

I tried googling... and I got nothing useful out of it...

Does anyone actually know what kind of wood the body is made out of???

except black instead of blue... the blue in the pic is transparent and you can see the grain, but i can't on mine, so i don't know if it will make a difference

It looks like swamp ash from the front, but that might just be a top or veneer...

I can't tell... because my body is black

But I took off the neck and there was bare wood in the joint, I uploaded a pic.
