For a while, I was dead set on the ESP LTD EC-1000 with Duncan pickups. I read the reviews and researched extensively. However, a new guitar has caught my attention. The Schecter C-1 Classic. It costs less than the ESP, has good hardware, and looks insanely amazing. So I ask you this question.

What guitar would be better? Both have good hardware, both look great, and both have Duncan pickups. I'm torn.

HAHAHAHAHAHA,

You're not funny. You're the dUmbEsTe$tzZ person on this planet.

On topic:
They both are wonderfull guitars. You should test both befor buying. You also should test a Jackson SL3. Imo that would be the best choice.

So the ESP is better? I guess I can justify passing by the vines of life inlay.

I vote for the schecter, it is a really sweet guitar. I have the "step below," kind of, everything but the piezo system. It is a sweet guitar, light, plays amazing and has awesome tone.
I dont know what type of music you play but if your into the whole metal trip, you might be better of going for the ESP. Yet if your into blues, reggae, rock thing, i would go for the schecter.

I have C-1 Classic, and it's awesome guitar. It comes to your preferences in the end.
Here are the differences:
C-1: 25.5, jumbo frets, string thru, neck thru, graphtech nut on the new ones, 5 way super switch (nice SC sounds, but not fender twangy), awesome inlays .

EC1000: 24.75, Xjumbo frets, stopbar, set neck, earvana nut.

If you are into lead playing C-1 may be better since there is no heel, and upper frets are not cramped as in EC1000.

I was also considering EC1000 when looking for new guitar, but decided on Classic mostly due to scale because I wanted 25.5 more since my other guitars were 24.75 in that time.

I've heard that EC1000's neck is thinner, but never tried it. There was no ESP dealer here 6 months ago. Classic's neck is more bulkier, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
Classic is about 21 mm at first, and about 24 mm at twelfth. My RR3, I guess, is 18 and 21 respectively, so it's little thicker. But more wood means more tone and sustain.

Play both, then decide. Don't decide with people's opinion, you'll play it, not us

Also, don't forget that ESP and Schecter are owned by the same entrepreneur

Of those two, I would go for the Schecter. Looks stunning and is cheaper. I doubt the quality would suffer against the LTD.
