what are some good ones that are doable with guitar, drums, bass, and vocals. If there are ones with other instrumentation and its real good name it and I'll look into arranging it or finding ways to play those parts.

Thanks.

what song does the drummer want to do?

your vocalist better be prepared for some out-there vocals hehehe.

"City of Tiny Lights" is a cool one - though kind of heavy on keys...
"Can't Afford No Shoes"
"San Ber'dino"
"My Guitar Wants To Kill Yer Mama" - has a bizzaro modified sax solo
"Oh No - Orange County Lumber truck"
"Pygmy Twilight"
"Trouble Every Day"
"Hungry Freaks Daddy" - really needs kazoo to make it
"Camarillo Brillo"

in a serious side note I recommend (includes some other instruments, but totally doable without or little)

-Cosmik Debris (saxophone is intense)
-Montana
-Tittie's N Beer (2best things in life)
-Sexual harassment in the workplace (sweet instrumental)
-joe's garage
-Watermelons In easter Hay (drummer might be board but he be chillen as well as the audience)
-muffin man

I wana keep going for ever but those are quick and most well known having over 50 zappa cd's I know my stuff if you need and thing zappa related on a side note

I love when he was with the mothers but his stuff after is more pleasing to the audience.

Have any of you seen "Rock School"?

Those kids played Zappa crazy good at Zappanale!
(CJ tapping thing was kinda lame though...)

My drummer is a huge Zappa fan and he actually has over 70 FZ Albums. (so now I have gotten into him quiet a bit)

You should try "What's new in Baltimore?" or "St. Etienne". With the song "St. Etienne" you could actually do a ton of improve on guitar and still have the song sound great. Or try "Zoot Allures."

"The Black Page" would probably make your head explode if you're not a professional musician.
