I have been trying for awhile now to get a tone like
Winds Of Plague http://www.myspace.com/windsofplague
and Born of Osiris http://www.myspace.com/bornofosiris

But I just can't seem to get it right
I have attached the patch that I have been working on but if I have to completely start over and make a new one that's fine with me
As long as I can somehow get their general sound
if you want to work with the patch then just change the extension from .txt to .l6t
Thanks

My friend was asked by Winds of Plague to be their guitarist before they got the one they have now. As for the tone, remember that Pods can emulate only so much. It maybe your guitar or amp it's self that's not allowing you to find the right tone.

Thats so sick
they have an awesome sound
well I'm just monitoring my tone through monitor headphones right now and the only time I would really play through an amp would be at a gig
but then the tone wouldn't be a huge deal
I'm using a Schecter Damien Fr
the passive emg's aren't really pushing out as much as I'd like but they work well enough
Yea
It's been really hard for me to find a really good metal amp in the pod x3
there isn't a huge range of options for truly high gain amps in there

Yeah, it took me a long time to get the one I liked. But I'll tell you now, any good tone you create with headphones, you'll have to redo when you need an amp. Tone ~does~ matter a lot in live gigs. I really suggest finding the tone with your amp.

ok
I just run it through the effects in of my crate fw120 head
and then into a crate 4x10 cab
but Im eventually going to sell those for an atomic 212 amp
Its hard for me to tweak my tone on my amp because my parents wont allow me to play my half stack at my house
so I leave it at my drummers house
and the only time I am over there is when we practice
so I don't really have much time to do it there
But I do have it tweaked to where it sounds good through headphones and then when i switch it to front stack with the settings I have it sounds decent
It sounds different but they both sound decent
