My first and second guitar are both Ibanez, and I couldn't love them anymore.

Epiphone. They have the most comfortable neck profile for me, and I trust the build quality of their Elitist range more than any other guitars in existence. Precision machine cut in Japan > even master luthiers in America. Plus Epiphone have equal access to any design or part from both Gibson and Kramer, so you could still get top-quality pickups and fun things like active boosts and FR bridges.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

Only in the low and mid-range. High-range and Custom Shop ESPs are so much better than even the top Ibanez guitars, it's not even a contest.

Wrong. They're not just metal guitars.

So yeah, I'd go with ESP.

Fender hands down if I had to go with stock guitars. However there are attributes of many guitars that I like. That being said I don't think I'll ever own anything but a fender or g&l. Hands down the best feeling necks for me. I love the soft feel of the back of the neck on my American standard strat. Also the look of a tele is beyond any other guitar IMO.
