Hey, I'm finally upgrading the pick ups on my SSS strat and I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me out. I usually play shred, metal, prog and I am playing through a Marshall AVT 150. Thanks, let me know if I didn't include enough info

get a new amp, it will make a lot more difference on your sound than new pickups.
Guitar:
Schecter Omen 6 (Dimarzio X2N & Tone Zone)
Amps:
Engl Fireball
Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12 Cab

Yep, check out some valve combos. A pickup change through an SS amp will not make enough difference tonally to justify the price you'll pay for the pickups.
Gear:
Ibanez S470 (EMG 81/S/85)
Sigma DMC-15E
Laney VH100R
Laney 4x12 Cab
Ibanez Weeping Demon
M-Audio ProKeys 88
Mbox 3 Pro
KRK RP6 G2's
Plum Team FTW!

what are some amps you guys would recommend within the $300-$650 range though that would be good/loud enough for a gig?

^yeah. What forsaknazrael said. People have said they've had reliability issues with the B-52, though.
Current Gear:
LTD MH-400 with Gotoh GE1996T (EMG 85/60)
PRS SE Custom 24 (Suhr SSH+/SSV)
Ibanez RG3120 Prestige (Dimarzio Titans)
Squier Vintage Modified 70s Jazz V
Audient iD22 interface
Peavey Revalver 4, UAD Friedman BE100/DS40

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
