Hey, I'm getting a marshall mg15msII micro stack, please, no abuse or moaning about it, theres a 7 day money back guarantee if i don't like it. Anyway, with my new band I imagine I'll be playying gigs soon, and need an affordable way to mike up through a PA.

I also have a 50w stagg combo, and like it, could I just put a Mic into the input, run through the amp, and then out the phones line into some passive pa speakers?

Lol, or would there be an easier way. I have about £100 for the whole lot. Found the speakers for £53.

Thanks, SS

If you have a 50W combo, why are you buying a 15 watt micro stack?

I know, I just need something quieter for home, and I heard good about it. But seeing as I'm getting, i wanna use for gigs too.

Lol.

Wattage at home is only really applicable to tube amps.
I have a 150 watt solid state half stack and I can practice at ridiculously quiet levels at home.

Yeah, what i'm saying is: i need an affordable way of doing it. I don't need a mixer do I? A power amp + passives, or actives?

Something like this? It's a 65w monitor, but has a line and mic input.

right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

do you have a PA?
the mic goes into the XLR input of the (probably) powered mixer, then put in infront of your amp. it doesnt sound like your ready to be gigging.

Wherever you gig will probably have a PA there anyway.
