ok so ive had this guitar for about three weeks now, and i absolutely LOVE it!

It an Epiphone Custom Shop SG g-400
It has a Mohagany body and a Mohagany set neck.

I did NOT buy it because it has a Pirates of the Caribbean theme to it,
I bought it because i got a really good deal on it and it ended up Being Cheaper than a normal G-400

And i Know theres a handfull of people out there that are goin to bash it just because its an Epiphone, But it plays like a dream and i love the way it sounds

here are some pics;

Yeah, it's cheap/cool for being cheap, but the decal kind of kills the guitar.

pirates are cool and always will be.

Dont be shamed of the decal.....looks cooler than most guitars.
#10
Its not a Decal

Its painted on the body and i think it looks better in person
the pics do do it much justice, lol

and i think i did get a good deal on it

A normal G-400 is $350,
and this one was on clearance because it was a discontinued model and i got it for $225

And It is extremely good quality!!
It feels very durable and has good hardwear

much nicer than a starter guitar,
plays 30 times better than any guitar you can buy for $225 bucks

Sweet, nothin wrong with an Epi. I like it and the inlays are pretty cool
#13
The sticker on the body and headstock make it look like a toy but otherwise its cool,
I guess you could refinish it in the future

I think it Looks pretty awesome. in a few years people wont even remember Pirates of the Caribean so it will probobly just look like a really bad ass Pirates guitar, not movie memrobelia.

Either way it looks cool.
#18
well..i like the fret inlays, and I guess someday you could change the body and headstock inlay

other than that, it's a great guitar and i salute you for recognizing a good deal instead of walking away because of the looks..

No. Everybody dies. And one day, given that your relationship doesn't crash and burn like so many do, one of you will end up deep in sorrow while watching the other one die.

ARGGH. Yeah, pretty nice. Can't stand that headstock logo.

, Exactly.

Decal or not, it's still too much. In fact, the most "pizzazz" I like on a guitar is the Dixie Rebel Dime guitar, just because it looks so kick ass and works with the guitar's shape. Headstock is meh, though.

its actually painted on the body, both the body and the headstock

no stickers

and i've played it on stage with my band and honestly the chicks dig it HAHA

i dont care for the paint too much myself
but i dont hate it enought to reapaint it or to try and cover it up,
it dosnt bother me, as long as the guitar sounds good im happy

and it does and i am, lol

Fixed.

EDIT: In fact, most girls probably would "dig it" if you walked on stage wearing a shovel with strings and played some power chords, especially most of the ones at my school. Not to be sexist or bash you or anything, but most people cheer for anything at shows.

I like my cherry G-400 better, personally.

Because it was cheaper!

A normal Epiphone SG G-400 cost $350
My Epiphone Custom Shop SG G-400 cost (me)$225

and the only diffrence between the two guitars are the paint, the inlays and the vol/tone knobs.
and none of those things effect sound or playability.

so why not get the cheaper one??

and i personaly love the way it sounds and plays,
i could care less how it looks

and I'm not made of money,
so any way i can save some money, I will

Cool guitar though. I'd personally sand it down to the mahogany, and clearcoat it.
New tracks on my profile! Please check them out and see what you think!

Yar. I give it two pints worth of approval

Seriously though, I like those inlays. The body.... meh. Not really attractive. But that's a kickass deal, man! Nice score.

I don't think this is a Custom Shop, but it's probably discontinued.

The frets kick ass, but the headstock, not so much. Perhaps if the body was a solid colour or like a sound burst, it would look killer. Anyways. It seems cool; have fun with it.

Also, I saw this model at L&M and it was a G-310, not a G-400? Is yours a G-400, 'cause I didn't think that existed...
