The regular 16 series has a satin finish, while the GT series has a gloss top finish (shiney compaired to dull) GT= Gloss Top. This should be in the Acoustic section tho...

Because with a satin finish they can just spray a sealer and leave it. With a gloss top there is more work involved in getting the clearcoat on after the sealer, making sure there is no orange peel or runs (paint defects), and then they have to polish it. So all in all there is much more work involved with a gloss top finish (not to mention materials) that make it cost more.
