Whenever I go from one fret to another, always to have my callous like stuck to the string and then it makes a sliding sound on the amp. Is this a bad habit to have or is alright?

Its bad most of the time. I used to do it too but my calusses went away after a year.

That sliding sound happens, but if often enough isnt really a bad habit, it tends to go away after a while.

The reason I just saw it was because i was checking youtube for FCPREMIX covers and the people doing the covers would always have one string down while playing and i'd have mines 3 string pressed so i wouldn't have to do that much changing. It looks easier for me to play but i'd get a sliding effect whenever i go lower.

Well, only if you don't want to make that sound. Try to remove your fingers from the strings totally when you change frets.
