Hey guys, i'm a bassist, but i felt like playin guitar for a little, so i wanted to ask you guys if there are any links to some backingtracks (hopefully compatible with itunes) that i can use to just kind of jam on?

ps: it would also help if i didn't have to tune to anything other than standard or drop-D, so please make sure that all basic chord ranges are assessable with standard.

google backing tracks and there is a site that has backing tracks from popular songs. When I get home ill give you the link if you dont find it. My best recommendation however is to record a drum beat, with a drum machine or something, play a bass line and progression, and have it loop. Audacity will allow you to add layers on top of layers, and has a really cool loop function.

I used that to learn cool improvising styles.
