I looked on the Ultimate Settings Thread but I didn't see it... either that or I skipped over it accidentally.

If someone wants to tell me, that'd be cool.

If you can link me somewhere that does tell me, even better.

Thanks.

Any song in particular?

I do know that I got a half-passable Manhattan tone with:

Bass: 6
Mid: 7
Treble: 5
Reverb/trem/delay to taste.

That's what it was with my amp, but it'll probably be different for you.

Back off treble (and presence if you have it) - leaving just enough for the pinches to ring out. Lots of bass. Mids to taste. It helps to have a Marshall Plexi and a Chandler tube driver. Strat is a the typical EJ tone but for most of Cliffs he used an ES-335 (believe it was a strat for the solo section - definitely sounds like a change if you listen for it).

the biggest problem with asking for settings is that you really need his guitar and amp... if you have those it'll sound more or less right, as long as you aren't using daft eq settings...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
