I'm a lefty and I am ready to upgrade my guitar. I want it to be an left-handed acoustic-electric 6-string with a cutaway in the $500-$750 range. Yeah, exactly. Not easy to find. My current model shape is dreadnought so maybe I would prefer the next one to be the same, but I'm not sure. If anyone could help me find one, that would be great.

A lefty Ovation Celebrity Deluxe might be a good choice for you, though I haven't seen them in a while. Here's one site that has them:

Man, can I ever sympathize with you on this one! I've searched high and low for lefty guitars all of my adult life, and let me tell ya, they're few and far between! All is not lost however. Take a look at this site:

The have the biggest selection of anyone I've found to date, and are primarily a lefty guitar dealer.

i bought a Ibanez acoustic-electric (cutaway) from musicians friend it was only i think 300-350

That's not really a step-up. That's a low beginner model, and Ibanez isn't the most reputable brand, either.
Sincerely, Chad.

This would actually be a DOWNGRADE from what the TS is looking for, in terms of both price and quality.

For about $700 USD, I think Yamaha's APX700 might be a candidate. I've played it before, and while the acoustic tone is nothing to write home about, the electronics on this instrument are not too bad.

I care about tone over electronics. I really wish I could afford a Martin D 28 Dreadnought for lefties. Those cost $2,150 everywhere.
