Is it possible to put humbuckers in the neck and bridge position of a strat copy, even if the bridge pup is offset a little bit?

It'd require that you cut out some of the wood to allow for space to put the humbuckers. Also, you'd have to drill some holes for the wiring. You have to be very, very careful with both of those things. If you take out too much wood or drill the holes wrong, there goes your strat.

As a side note, it sounds like you're wantin to construct a Frankenstrat, like Eddie Van Halen. LOL!

Surely you could just buy a new pickguard with the spacing for a neck humbucker? You won't need to cut any of the wood away if it's like a standard strat

Not all strat bodies have the cut outs for humbuckers. some have one big square cut out so you can put in whatever you want and some are routed for sss set up.
Chances are good that you will not have to take any wood out as alot of them do have the HSH routs. As far as drilling a hole for the wire, there will already be one there from the existing pick up.
YA GOTTA HIT IT ON THE ONE
