Im about to finish painting my guitar, and after im done i need to drill the holes for the strap locks. I bought schallers, but im not quite sure how deep or wide i should drill the holes. Does anybody know?

you should get a piece of scrap wood, and drill holes till you find the right size bit and depth to use on your guitar

Size of the drill bit will match with the tube of the screw (the solid core; there has to be wood for the coil of the screw to bite into). The depth . . . just measure the screw? If you need to mark off where it is, put a chalk line on the bit.
Sincerely, Chad.
