i would get a new amp. try out the Line 6 valve 112, kinda pricey tho, or a line 6 spider III, there not as bad as everyone likes to act. i have a 75w and its nice for metal-ISH stuff, and can be used with a EQ to maybe get out some nicer tones. + its a bit cheaper than the Valve.

are you gigging? if not, there is absolutely no need for a stack. it'll just be a waste of $$ because a 75w-150w modeling or tube amp will be plenty loud

get an amp. if you want good tone, get a tube amp (but not the spider valve amp, I have heard bad things about it..)
