What tunings do u guys play in?

My Fender is in Standard but I drop it to Drop D alot and half step.

My Ibanez is in Drop C, but I raise it a half step sometimes.

I also have a question as well for you guys, do u think its best just to buy another guitar and put it in half step and use that for half step and drop one string for drop C#. I'm worried it's hurting my neck changing the tunings alot on my guitars.

Some many songs....so many tunings...god ****ing dammit.

I usually play in Standard tunin or a half step down, but I dont have locking tuners on my strat so if I use the bar a lot it can drop a step and I dont tune it everytime I pick it up so it can stay a full step down for a couple weeks to a month

yeah when we play live we do that a lot. It makes it easier on the singer and it gives the guitars a little fatter sound.
and on my own I'll use standard, drop D, all strings down a Half step, drop C#, D standard, and sometimes drop C.
and i've tried drop B but you really need a lot thicker strings to do it
Now officially has too much gear to list

PM me if you want to know about my recording setup

I usually always tune right into drop D, but lately i have been doing different variations of House of the Rising sun, and i just go into A44 for that. (Normal tuning)

Man, i really don't want to learn the whole fretboard over again in some other tuning. it's just not worth it.

EPI Les paul - C standard
Jackson soloist - Standard
Strat - Standard or half step down
Cheap Strat - Weird tunings. usually CCGGF#F# or Db Minor (Db, Fb, Db, Fb, Ab, Fb.)

I use standard and Drop D tuning mostly, but I sometimes tune down half a step. As far as getting another guitar for alternate tuning, I think its a good idea if you don't wanna hassle with changing tunings all the time (if your budget allows it). Not too sure about the neck getting messed up, but I know your strings will definitely feel it.
Gear:
Fender DG-100
... yeah that's it so far

I like Drop C because it is what most modern metal is played at. Also you have to play standard to crank out the classic metallica

Metalcore sure....

Most real metal is standard tunings. Variants between Standard, D, Db, C, B, etc.

Nope. Well I play various tunings but standard is what i play 90 percent of the time.

Ill tune my guitar down to D minor, just because it has a deeper texture (soft pick) and I can change the third of the chord by fretting one string.
