hey everyone. on my guitar, every single time i plug in and take out the cable, the freakin thing comes lose. i dunno hwat to do. i screw it in tight every time but it's really annoying. any suggestions? how do i fix this? thanks

you mean the nut thing?? i mean it screws in fine. it's just when you push in the cable it goes loose

my schecter is the same way, its just turned into a habit to reach down and tighten it every time i put it away

dude take the thing out, as in unscrew the whole thing, put the cable into the jack then tighten it from behind first then on the front. should be fine

Just go buy a new one then, its possibly damaged....they cant be too expensive right?...I dunno, just my 2 cents...

oh.. ok.. i tightened it and it seems fine. if it gets jacked up ill buy a new one. its gonna be hard to find a gold one i guess,,

You should be able to find a gold jackplate on warmoth or guitarfetish - i know guitarfetish stocks gold jacks and jackplates for strats, but your Jackson is causing the problem, right?

Locktite on the threads. But take the plate loose and hold the back of the jack so you can make it good and tight.
