Hey, I just got my gretsch 5122. But the fifth string keeps hitting the fifth fret as it makes an annoying sound. I tried to adjust the neck, and its no use. Is it because its new and the temprature and humanity? Thanks.

yeah, you know when the temporature or humanity or the place is changed, there may effect the staightness of the wood.

maybe action is too low. and you mean humidity not humanity rofl. temp and humidity have little to do with anything unless its REALLY HOT or REALLy COLD or REALLY HUMID or you keep changing the environment rapidly. but environemnt has nothing to do with anything

oh sorry its humidity....mixed up....
I tried to adjust it, i dont see much use of it still.

it could be becuase of your neck now since u adjusted it, if u adjsuted it alot you might be through a long night of going back between adjsuting the bridge and neck until you find the proper placing of both. and also if for some reason is horribly flat re tune it so it has proper tension
