funky tune man, do u play this with a band cuz u should its pretty dig, the main riff is really raunchy, strikes me as the Rolling Stone's and Deep Purple's love child but the Hip was the milk man! spoke to soon it just got to the solo, its just great now

Oh wow. That is funky as! That is some awesome stuff, sounds really classic. Riffs are great. As La Grange asked, what scales you using? I'd love to hear some vocals over this. And what gear are you using? Tone of the guitar is insane! Love it. Oh and nice harmony bit, sounds different from the usual harmonising that goes on these days.

Oh god...solo just kicked in! That's some sick lead playing! Didn't sound unnecessary either, fitted the song well.

Keep it up man, and keep me posted when you come up with anything new!

Thanks for the crit guys!

alliwant: The gear I used for recording was a Fender MIM Telecaster with the EMG TC-set plugged in to a Line 6 Toneport. Here I used the Marshall model.
The scales I used in this song was mainly the Mixolydian mode with a lots of chromatics. The harmony riff was just minor pentatonic with a chromatic note. The solo was natural minor with some blues notes and some chromatics.

Nice! I really liked it. Cool tone and I really like the scale you're using for this one. Great work. When I have more time I'll be back to listen to more of your tunes!

This is some good stuff. Really groovy and nice crunchy tone on the guitar. However, I think this track needs a scorching lead guitar with wah over funky/bluesy rhythm guitar. Actually, I had pick up my guitar and jam to this track. The guitar solo starting at 4:00 is great. Good stuff, keep it up!

It's good tonally, quality wise and all that jazz, but I thought it might have gone on a little long.

really cool, funky. great playing. little bit repetitive, needs a little change in there. less repetition of the riffs may be better. like the riff at 225, the part that matches it sounds weird tho. awesome solo, wonderful playing, great sound. really good song, vocals would sound good with this. nice playing.

This is a very cool song. It's catchy and fun with good playing, nice tone, great solo and with some lyrics over the top this would be killer tune. Good work, I really enjoyed that.

Sweet song man, very funky, I really digg the riffs! Around 2:39 it really remind me of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Vocals on this song would be pretty tight. The flow of the song is really nice, the solo is cool too. Great work man! Thanks for the crit on my thread!

Nice stuff! Really dig the riffs. Is that a real drum kit? Sounds like stratocaster? Good stuff! Really like this, you really need to get some vocals in this. Wow I enjoyed the solo. Really good instrumental. Would love to hear more! I feel you shouldn't have compressed the whole track as much. Not bad quality otherwise.

Thanks.
No, the drums are the drum machine on Line 6 Riffworks. The guitar I used was a Telecaster

I loved the upbeat, funky intro into the song. The staccato palm-muting you exhibit in the song is also a really a nice touch. I have to say, the drum track is coordinated really great. There's a part where you play one chord and slide, I like this, kind of makes me feel as if I am actually living in an elevator as the progression goes up and down. I love the section where the guitars harmonize, reminds of a certain Primus song. The solo at the end of the song blew my mind. Your technique sounds impeccable, and you didn't try flaunting that from the beginning. It sounds like the solo was done effortlessly, props for a good composition.

It might not be your style, but I'd like to see what you have to say, Thanks!

"Living in an Elevator"

Cool funky Riff

I really liked the parts at 2:21 and at 2:40. The first changes the mood and the second lift the song. Tone is good for the style and overall mix balance works for me except that I am would bring the bass up (maybe my headphones).

what did you use for the drums?

Great stuff!

The riff you used was incredibly catchy and seemed to not get old. The song could use some words and it would probably be kickin. Maybe do some work with some panning effects and wah wah work and it would probably spice it up a bit more. I enjoyed your solo ideas and your tone. I knew off the bat you were using fender strat or tele, it sounded good. maybe shorten the beginning riff and add a contrasting section (like a bridge) in the middle somewhere. Nice work.
