Hey guys, I've started looking at some multifx pedals around 200 dollars and was wondering if you could get a decent one for that price. I'm not looking for amp models whatsoever because my amps are perfect for me, but what i'm looking for is a pedal with effects like delay, chorus, flanger, and harmonizer. I'm still undecided whether i should buy the pedals separately or not because it would be pretty expensive if i did do that. And i don't need the effects to be superb i just want decent ones that don't sound like crap. Some of the multifx i've been looking at are these:

Thanks for any help on this subject.

One of the boss MEs has quite good reviews on UG and it's around $200 from what people have said.

ive got a xoom G2u.17 (i think). and it works a treat. does everything i could want it to. except properly modelling a digitech whammy

Zoom g2.1u I think it's called actually.

I've got the g2, and it does basically everything a beginner-intermediate could expect for an incredible price.

For the Price, Zoom gets hard to beat. I wouldn't consider them pro-level by any means, but they are nice little boxes. Rocktron has a good reputation, but I've never tried any.
Epiphone Dot
DIY Esquire w/Neovin Power Rock pickup
Vox AC30VR 212
Arion MTE-1 (LED clipping diodes added)
Vox Tonelab LE
Roland SDE1000 delay

By high-gain I don't mean stupid stuff. I just mean styles like Motley Crue or Iron Maiden

I have a Zoom G2.1U best for distortion, and weird strange effects. Not exactly a pro multi effect pedal but does the job. Also can link up to the comp to record..

I'd reccomend buying separetely.

Separate to what?

I only know the good distortion pedals..

I don't know much about delay, chorus, flanger..etc. Best to ask someone else.
Just go into your local music shop and try out some pedals.

Ok, i think i'll go for the zoom, which do you think would be better the regular G2 or the G2.1 with the expression pedal. Do you think this pedal can go in the effects loop of my amp too?

No idea. The separate expression pedal MIGHT go into your amp but I've got no idea mate, I've got the pedal (bought it separately: zoom g2 + pedal) but my amp hasn't got a pedal effects input. You could e-mail zoom and ask them.

It's an awesome unit.

I'd say a Boss ME-50 used around that price would be a better buy. I have one up on ebay for 200 if u want to look at it.

That's just my biased opinion, but it's a great pedal with tons of features including octave pedal, wah, and some other things.
