So since The Premiership Thread is pretty much obsolete now I thought I'd start a fresh. I noticed an increase of people using that thread for general football issues and it worked better than separate threads anyway, so I just thought I'd change the name.

But the teams who won last year isn't really important, it's all about this year.

So firstly, who do you think will win The Premiership?

And while we're at it, who will win The Champions league?

The answer does not begin with an 'M'. [

Edit: I know technically they won it this year.

EDIT: EDIT: Fantasy football anyone?
Create a team: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

And join the UG league: 368975-79336

Whoever wins gets Manger of the year award. And a cough sweet.

I say either Everton or Aston Villa to win the FA Cup. Though the big 4 might try harder next time, who knows.

Quote me on this; If Saints don't win promotion, I will hang myself.

This time next year, I'll be dead happy or dead.

The other Saints to top this season by finishing 9th. And hopefully exceeding this season's miserly goal tally. Not huge ambitions, admittedly...

Arsenal have a chance at winning the Premiership if they get fewer injuries this time around and play Walcott a bit more often. We're not going to have Flamini anymore but I'm sure we'll manage.

If Celtic win the CL what will Liverpool's treble be? Uefa Cup, League Cup and the Amsterdam Tourament?
#14
May as well give the predictions a go...

Relagated; Hull, Stoke and Fulham
Champions; Manchester Utd
Champions League; Inter Milan
UEFA cup; Schalke
FA Cup; Liverpool
League Cup; Blackburn

I am officially bored now, with no meaningful football left (for me). Steve Mclaren has ruined my summer!

I can't wait until August when the Premiership kicks off again.
#15
arsenal might do ok, they always seem like they are missing something sine henry and viera left though. i reckon liverpool for the fa cup. villa for third!

maybe

and celtic will win the spl and the cup, rangers for cis. rangers need a top quality striker to start winning stuff.

and i reckon juve or inter will win the champions. uefa cup will be getafe or sporting.

*sits back and waits for the end of the season to be proved wrong*

EDIT:

Relagated; Hull, Stoke and Fulham

NO!

fulham are staying up haha

i reckon (and hope) sunderland will join stoke and hull in the relegation zone.
My name is Danny. Call me that.

Apparently Drogba is going to AC. Bad news for Chelsea fans, or is that good news? He's been pretty disappointing this year, but who else would replace him? Anelka, Shevsheko? They need someone skillful and fast, I can see why they wanted Torres and Messi, but realistically they won't get any of them. So who do you think Chelsea will sign? (that is if Drogba leaves).

Prem (the places that matter)

1st: Probs Chelsea, heart says United
2nd: the other of those two
3rd: Arsenal, unless Liverpool bump off Hyppia and strengthen their squad
4th: Probs 'Pool

---

18th: West Brom
19th: Stoke City
20th: Hull City, with a single-digit points tally

Yup, pretty boring, but the promoted sides vary between unable to defend (WBA), hoof-it-merchants (Stoke) and simply a bunch of old farts (Hull)

Championship:

1st: Birmingham City
2nd: Derby County, or else they will get relegated! Who knows?!?!
play offs: Crystal Palace

SPL:

1st: I think Rangers are gonna break Celtic domination, but if they sell Boyd and McDonald keeps scoring then it'll be 4 in a row for the Celts

12th: reckon Hamilton will go down (hope they do ) but St Mirren play the biggest load of pants ever, so who knows?

Champ's League: the toughie...I'll be terribly silly and say Real Madrid will get it right for once

What about Huntelaar? I'd rather see him in Manchester United though.

Yeah, maybe. Or Eto'o, i'd rather see him at Liverpool though, and I think if they were to make a bid he'd come to Liverpool, I can't see him going to Spurs.

Good work guys

Edit: DONCASTER 1 - 0 CHEATING DIRTY LEEDS. GET IN!

There's a vibe I get from Leeds that they think they're already promoted, I'd love to see them lose another play-off final.

Hey, are St Johnstone premier league or 1st division? They always seem to be switching and I don't keep track

And are Partick Thistle premiuer league, 1st division or 2nd division?

Ever heard of someone called James Hayter??

Bristol Rovers will get top spot, Leeds can finish second if you like.

Leeds will finish top, we're raiding Carlisle of Westwood (awesome keeper) and Hackney (quality winger, something we need)
