Okay okay okay..
Quickly, Moe needs your help!
He can buy either a ESP LTD Kh-202 with upgrades like Trem, Pickups, and what not.
Or a Jackson DK2m stock.

If you need a reference on the amp I'm using, it's in my sig.
Basically I just want versatility and the better choice all together.
Cheers!

I would go with the esp, the jackson will sound better after similar upgrades, though.
#4
Go for the Jackson. I don't like the KH202. If it was a different model (higher) then probably go for ESP.

Are you high? The KH-202? Jesus...

The Jackson is the better choice here, obviously.

The Jackson has an alder body, it's higher quality, has Seymour Duncans as opposed the the LTD's "ESP-EMG Designed" pickups, and the LFR is a hell of a lot more reliable. Not to mention it just looks better than the LTD.

If you have your choice of pickups and bridge, then go with the LTD.

In my opinion Jackson's overall quality is much better than LTD.

I have a Jackson with the exact same amp as yours and it sounds some sweet especially with the XTC, Blackface and Top Boost modules.

If you were looking at the KH-602, I might be more inclined to vote for it, but the 202 is just horrible compared to the Jackson.

Go **** yourself, I own both guitars, the jackson and ltd both have the same gear, currently. And as I remember, I enjoyed the fully modded esp, a hell of alot more than the stock jackson, hence the phrase "the jackson will sound BETTER with similar mods".

Of course the jackson has more potential, but stock, I prefer my esp with its floating bridge and dead emg's.

I can't find any LTD Mh-400s anywhere.
And I was looking at the KH-602, but it's a bit expensive.

How much is it? It's only about $100 more expensive than the Jackson here.

^ The RG is a hell of an improvement.

Well I'd be getting everything from the states.
Jackson - $599.99 with $90 shipping.
Esp kh-202 - $400 with roughly $100 shipping.
Esp Ltd Kh-602 - $700 with $200 shipping.

#20
Oh, I see.

Really, with the money you'd spend on the upgrades alone, as well as the LTD, you'd be spending upwards of $400 more for a mediocre beginners guitar than you would for a decent intermediate Jackson guitar.

(Run on sentence, yay)

I would say your real decision is wether you want a guitar at lower quality with better fixings now, or if you want a higher end model that you can upgrade later.

Jackson> kh+$100 Btw

Couldn't be happier, cost me $150, ebay, which is why I opt for the quick fix guitar, the perfect will come along more than generously priced in time.

Thanks guys.
Still looking for more votes.

Jackson offcourse.
For the upgrades of the KH202:
160$ for 2 deicent SD's
200$ for a OFR
200$ to install both (since there will be work needed on the body to install an OFR, not to mention that it will damage the finish)

That makes the KH202 to cost 960$
Its not worth it.

Also: the Jackson is made of better wood, and is finished alot nicer (binding, maple neck), and the LTD is and remains a signature guitar, which are automatically overpriced.

Haha alright, thanks!
The only complaint about the Jackson that I have is the choice on colour.
Signatures are overrated.
#27
Color doesnt influence sound/playability, so its not important. Btw, there is nothing more Rock&Roll than a white guitar with maple neck, black inlays, and black binding/electronics/tremolo.
It screams HEADBANG!!!!!

^Isnt that a god damn sexy Jackson?

They'd be sexy without those old 70's styled guys in the pictures.
No, Jackson's are VERY sexy indeed.

In fact, the sexiest DK2m I've seen has been..

The body was taken from another Jackson, but it's damn sexy.

I had a KH-202 and took it back as the trem was junk, the nut wasn't put on right, among other things (one of which was not the fault of LTD). Jackson is also MIJ and made better than the LTD.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I'd say Jackson, I have a DKMG which is essentially the same with different pickups, and I think it's great.

The guy that owns that guitar only payed 400 for it too.
300 for the Jackson DK2m, and 100 for that body.
