Hey guys what if i'll take THIS and add loads of stuff and umm make it my song...

umm i just wanna make it something like HIM's wicked game made form Chris Isaak's

HIM's got loads of distortion and power chords

Yeah, try not to take an existing riff and base a song on it. If you write a riff that sounds similar to another riff, well, as long as you weren't trying to copy it, that's ok. But original material is always better.

it's called "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye" or "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again," depending on the version. It dates from a good few hundred years back so I'm almost 100% sure its in the public domain. Check out "English Civil War" by the Clash - it's used as the theme. Also it's whistled at the start of Civil War by Guns N Roses.

don't blame you.

I used to have some stuff up but some guy ripped off a riff and made something into it so I deleted all mine.

annoying losers can't come up with their stuff nowadays so they have to steal.
