I was in a small shop the other day and I saw an Ibanez rg470. The owner said it was pretty old, probably from the 80s if I recall. He said it had EMG 81s in it, are those any good? He also was going to replace the bridge. The neck is in great condition, as well as the fretboard and frets.

Good guitar or no?

How much is he asking?
It's sounds like a pretty sweet guitar.

I don't know I haven't asked yet, I'm broke anyway.

well, let him replace the bridge, then if you still want the guitar after the amount of time, then get it

I say go for it. You won't regret it. EMGs are great pickups.

i beg to differ. I have EMG's in my Hellraiser and I can get a great variety of sounds out of them.

He wants 425.00 plus tax for it, all fixed and ready + original hardshell case. He thinks it's about 12 years old.
