it's the style/fashion of the time -- Connery's suits were really smart, but Daniel Craig's style as James Bond is more up to date, more fashionable today (especially amongst younger viewers) than Connery's style from back then.

EDIT: no disrespect to Connery, he did bring the look to life. i like Al Pacino's suits in Scarface; they're cool, and casually smart.

Watch the scene in Fight Club where they're selling soap at that store. Don't where it like Brad Pitt is, but that Grey Suit with the Yellow shirt (if you can pull of yellow) is a sweet suit. Let me look at your pics and I'll get back to you.
