Would this amp be loud enough for small gigs (coffee shop, medium-sized restaurant)?

According to the review, they're making this sound like it's ****-loud. If it's tube, a 20W would be enough, right?

If I was with a lead, bass, drummer, maybe a horn or two, what wattage would I need?

As a solo electric player, a 20w tube amp should be good. With a full band, 30w tube will get you over drums. So maybe a 50w tube.

If I'm only just starting to get good enough for gigging, get the 20W for now.

And then when I get good enough for a full band, get the 30 or 50W version.

Right?

Well, the Vox AC15 and the Blues Junior are both 15 watts and are gigged with all the time.

By high-gain I don't mean stupid stuff. I just mean styles like Motley Crue or Iron Maiden

well, for now at least (solo performer), an 18W would be enough, right?

I have the Blues Jr., and for practice yesterday I had to have the Master at 12 (maxed) and the Volume at 4 to get a nice mix. And it starts distorting a lot before that, which made it unfavorable since I was using a distortion pedal anyway.

So yeah, 20 tube watts might be okay for that kind of venue, but you might want more depending on what genre you play.

Edit: Oh yeah, if it's 18W for solo performances, that's plenty.
