Hi all,

I bought a capo earlier this week (a Kyser QuickChange) and started working on Pink Bullets by the Shins earlier today.

The song requires a capo at the 3rd fret. However whilst strumming the intro to the song I noticed a metallic clicking sound whilst playing the bass note on the low E string (unfretted apart from capo at 3rd).

I think the sound is coming from the 6th string hitting the 4th fret wire (It comes extremely close to it and might even be touching it). If I remove the capo and fret the 3rd fret 6th string I get the same sound. I hadn't noticed this before and I don't get it if I fret the 1st, 2nd 4th or any other fret. What would cause just a single fret to behave this way?

Any ideas what I need to do to solve this? Does the 4th fret wire need to be filed down? The guitar is a Tanglewood TW115ST

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Kezz
