I'm looking for a good high gain passive pick-up,to replace the stock pick-ups in my '83 Les Paul Studio. I play mostly rock, such as metalcore,harcore,emo,screamo,pop-punk,punk etc.

emg-hz's

WTF hz. Id rather keep my LP's pickups then having Hz.
Get some Active EMG or duncans.

Id say 81(b) 60 (n) EMG

yea, the regular EMG's are active, but the HZ ones are passive.

so yes, the EMG-HZ's are passive

I'd go with Dimarzios. Any of the following would work nicely: X2N, D Sonic, Evo, or D Activators.
Schecter C-1 Hellraiser
Ibanez RGA121
Vetta II HD

I'd say some Symore Duncans Jazz?

I'm looking at the page on them, and it sounds like they're normally paired with something else.Should I just get one and put it in the neck and something else,or two of those?

Now I'm contemplating a DiMarzio Breed pick-up in the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck.
Would this sound good or bad?
EDIT: Or a pair of D Activators.

Now it's a toss up between a pair of D Activators and Jazz and JB combo. I'm going to put up a poll I guess.
