Hi, I have a picture on my computer. When I import it into photoshop, I chop some of it off. My default photoshop size is 1280x1024. But the picture is about 1024x768 when I chop some of it. Then I have some empty canvas showing. How do I get rid of it, and just have the picture? Because when i save the picture, the blank canvas part of it turns white. I just want the blank canvas part to go away when I save it, and just have the picture. Sorry if this is confusing, thanks.
Be cool.

You should crop it with the croptool (default button: C).

What they said. ^

Or you could use the Rectangular Marquee Tool, outline your picture, copy/cut it, open up a new document and paste it there.
