Just got a 4x12 Rectifier.

And i have to say... for paying $1000 for it, im not all that satisfied.

Great sound and low end, but uncontrollable squeal. Uberschall hooked up to that, then i hooked up a Marshall 1960A. and well, the Marshall can get way louder without getting a ear annihilating squeal when you stop playing for a 1/10 of a second to turn down the guitar. With gain on barely half btw. Anyone else experience this? Or is Mesa not as good as people say? Or any suggestions to stop that? Perhaps a Thresh hold pedal? I dunno.

Thanks for reading my ramble.

Maybe your Bogner likes 16 ohm cabs better than 8 ohm cabs?

^ Yea probably, well. Its either getting a thresh hold to see if it works or just take it back and get a 1960BV. Thanks for reply

yea i found that kinda weird, that a Mesa wouldnt be 16 ohms.
Cause when i use the marshall by itself i have it on 16 and it sounds pretty amazing.

Yeah, I want to get a 1960A cab to use with my JSX instead of my Rectifier cab. I want to run that head at 16 ohms.

Then I plan on getting another head to use with the Rectifier cab.

I do, i have the head set to 2 8 ohm outputs. one in the marshall on stereo, and the Mesa 8 ohms mono. Good match for the cabs soundwise... Low end from Mesa and great mid cut through from the Marshall, but the cabs really dont match up technical wise at all.

yea they sound amazing... they have so much punch in them i love that feeling when it rattles your body when you have it turned up beyond belief and sitting right in front of it... but that could be the squealing problem >.>

Maybe because you run one cab in stereo and the other in mono?

Shouldn't be an issue. The Marshall would only have two of it's speakers working, that's all.
