I came up with a pretty cool chord progression awhile back in the key of F#. The minor pentatonic scale works perfectly even though I use only major power chords, anywho Im in the process of working on some lead riffs and Ive got a few cooking but I was wondering if anyone knew of any songs that used the F# pentatonic that I could look at to see what kind of solo techniques they used to spice things up. Any help I can get would be greatly apreciated.
Just shift it into a different key depending on the song.
Paul Gilbert usually throw pentatonic licks into his solos when he plays Scarified.
texas flood and foxey lady are both in F#, technically. jimi and stevie both tuned down a half step and played it in the G minor penatonic scale, but you could play it in F# if you want
Thanks alot guys, I knew I could count on you.
ya ^ crazy train or little sister by Queens of the stone age but no solo in that song
this is in F#....most of it anyway
