I have decided to the posting of owners favorite presets for classic 30/50 tone

Rules: read the forum rules

Post exact settings, channel, eq, etc etc
It might also be a good idea to state modifications (tube, speaker) to explain why our tone with your presets might not sound as good.

I will post my personal favorite overdrive tone so far

MY tone (my amp is a classic 30 with JJEL84s)

There's sound clips all over the internet.

I don't have any complaints with mine. But, the reverb isn't spectacular.

Classic 50

Normal -3

Pre-8

Post- 4.5

Reverb- 0

Bass-7

Middle- 3

Treble- 9

Volume- 3

Presence-9

I'm usually not too picky with the settings, since this amp sounds good the minute I plug in. However that's usually around where the knobs are for a nice classic rock tone.

Most of my MP3's on my profile were made using the C50 and I have a short demo or two of it's clean channel. Only real complaint is the size and the new chassis design.

Oh, and here's the best tone from the Classic series that i've ever gotten:

Clean channel

Master volume: Max
Normal volume: between 7 and 10
Mids: Max
Treble: 9
Bass: between 10 and 12
Presence: 5
And a bit of reverb

Use a strat neck pickup and a BBE Sonic Stomp in the effects loop, and savor the beautiful OD.

I figured actual settings, unless otherwise noted.

Actual Settings, since we're all using the same amp model, thus we have the same controls (except i'm not sure about the 20 and 100)

How to achieve Frank Zappa's guitar tone:

Step 1: Buy a Gibson SG
Step 2: Insert Green Ringer, EQ, 3 dead squirrels and a microwave into said SG
Step 3: Plug in and freak the **** out.
