Ive been listening to some sound clips of it and I love the distortion. I've been looking to upgrade from my fender frontman + pod 2.0 to a all tube amp. I love Dream theater, avenged sevenfold and breaking benjamin, and it sounds like i could get close to their sounds with this amp.

I do have a 10 band eq pedal, if that helps at all.

I was thinking about buying a avatar cab, what do you guys think?
what can you tell me about this amp?

Just go for the combo version.
But yeah, go for an avatar or vader.

It's a great metal amp.

Im in a band, and I play lead guitar. I know 50 watts tube is alot of power, but out of one 12inch do you think it will sound as full?

I was thinking about getting a avatar 212 cab, plus they come with the celestion speakers. Which i really trust.

Well, I don't know much, but I thought Vaders were made more for metal?
I could be wrong.

I guess you could go with the stack version. The extra speakers do provide some extra fullness, so I guess it's a good idea. As long as you have the budget.

cleans aren't really that important to me, but if they are realy really crappy Im not sure if i should buy this.

would you say they are tolerable?

Tolerable, yes, I guess. I just hate them because I play blues and stuff. They might work fine for you.
But of course, you have to try out the amp first.

I played one when I got my HRD. Thought cleans were rather sterile and a bit of an all-or-nothing drive channel. Nice for metal but not much else. Will certainly do DT.
