Soup, /p/?

I've got this problem with my Acer Aspire 5920, as the title probably makes pretty clear. When I turn it on, the mouse touchpad thing doesn't work, so I have to put it on standby and turn it on again. How do I solve this problem? I'm seriously losing sleep about it, and I just can't stop crying.

Help a brother?
