Not really

Today, I went to collect my Peavey 5150 which I won on eBay for £380. It's in perfect condition (just needed a quick dust over) . I love the tone, absolutly brutal as hell.

So funny when I went to collect it - I told my parents it was huge a couple of days before we were going to collect, they were like 'as long as it'll fit in the boot of the car it'l be allright'. As soon as they saw it their faces were like 'wtf'.

Here are some pics of it:

Sorry for the poo quality pictures - I took them on my phone.

Wanna say thanks to John (UG Username: Ynqwie) for recommending it for me, I love it .

P.S - Feel free to ask me any questions if you want to.

Neat amp, isn't it? Not a bad price, either. I don't think. Silly pounds.

That's a decent price for one off ebay UK, good work!

Also seeing as you're seeing Evita; the new song was recorded on a 6505 so you'll be able to match their tone no probs

Dammit, you didn't even sig that

That's a stunningly good price though, good on ya.

Play with the clean channel much? I find that, with the crunch on and the preamp gain for the clean chanel at about 6, you can get a really neat modern rock tone that isn't overly fiddly or slathered with gain.

Just curious. There's actually a pretty wide range of sounds on the clean channel, with an OD and some knob futzing.

Is the 5150 lettering red or is that just the camera? Cause that would be awesome.

Yeah, they're the same. It's just because when Van Halen left Peavey, they had to rename it.
