I'm looking into buying a new neck once I have the money for one of my guitars. I don't like the neck that's currently on it, but I love the fretboard.

Is it possible to buy a new neck and use the old fretboard, or is it not worth the extra time and money?

Thanks.

Not warmoth. Carvin. Way cheaper. $210 for a finished neck with ebony FB, with a graphite nut inserted and slottted, not to mention an angled headstock.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
