Alright here's the tab for reference http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/w/wolfmother/joker_and_the_thief_tab.htm

Can anybody who's familiar with the 2nd solo in the song,
e|---------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------h18---------------------h20------------|
G|---19-19-19-19p17----------19-19-19-19p17----------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------| x3

e|---------------------------------------------------------|
B|---20b21---20p18-----------------------------------------|
G|-----------------h19->->->->->---------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------15----------17------|
A|-------------------------------------15----------17------|
D|-------------------------------------15----------17------|

tell me how the quivering sound is made? You really have to hear the song to know what I'm talking about. There's nothing about that sound in the tab, but I posted the solo anyway. Thanks

can you give an approximation of the time?

Edit: If it's what I think it is, it sounds kinda like a killswitch or something along those lines?
Demolition hands.... Got 'em!

he has a fuzz, and a synthesizer effect and he only frets the note partially, so the note only rings shortly and is kind of cut off, leaving a metallic sound that gets the quivering sound ur looking for with those effects

btw, those tabs arent correct, its played at around the thirteenth fret on the high e and B strings

3:38 is where that riff starts with the quivering.
