I need a volume pedal to do solos and such, and I need to do thing like tapping on the clean channel also. I just went to the guitar center website, there are like 50 volume pedals, and I have no idea which one is anywhere good.

I was thinking one of the dunlops or bosses myself...they seem pretty trusted

Yeah the dunlops and bosses are good options, avoid the cheapo ones like the plague though. Don't spend less than 100-150 bucks unless you want an unholy amount of hiss added to your sound.

Ernie Ball volumes are the golden standard, methinks. You could also get a Morley.
